One Piece anime manga - Popularity Rank on Amazon July 2012

This is my comparison charts for One Piece anime manga sold on Amazon.com. as of July 2012. I have always wanted to know how's the world most popular manga is doing in terms of best selling rank ( books ) online, so I head over to Amazon and started collecting each manga rank, volume by volume.


Due to the length of the chart, let's start with the first top 15th ranking

It seems that some of the earlier volume of the manga is still doing well, sales wise.


Looking at the chart, earlier volume of the manga still enjoy good sales, with volume 1 at 
ranking no 5, with volume 2 at ranking no 10, followed closely by volume 3 at ranking no 11.


The latest 3 volume of the manga, volume 63, 62 & 61 dominates the top 3 ranking respectively.

The rest of the manga volume is scattered through out the charts, with the lowest ranking falls to volume 47.


Volume 64 & 65 do not have a ranking yet, for they are slotted for release in Sept & Nov this year.


Which begs the question, what does all this means?


If  you are selling manga online, should  you be concentrating your promotion efforts in selling the latest volume, say from volume 57 - 63, because those are the ones selling like hot cakes? 


Maybe you should.


Or if you are a One Piece manga fans, should you skip the low ranking volume because hey, 
maybe that particular volume sucks, which explained the low sales ranking?


Hmm...


Or maybe it all means that I am a One Piece manga fans who just happens to be curious of
the sales of my favourite manga, and I so happened to have a blog selling manga online.
